FlexMonitor™ is an angular motion sensing system originally designed to interface with the BackSystem 3™ Stretching machine. An easy-to-install package of sensor, interface and software allow the BackSystem user to quantify and monitor their stretch in real-time for testing and/or biofeedback purposes, as well as evaluate their improvement over time.
Predefined tests and protocols, built-in timers, and an automatic rep counter simplify the user interface and enhance patient compliance. Automated session reports and automatic progress charting streamline the documentation process for the clinician and provide objective outcomes of treatment efficacy.
The FlexMonitor™ sensor design and system accessories facilitate its use with other traditional therapy and training devices such as wobble boards, ankle strengthening systems – essentially any apparatus that rotates in a single plane. The sensor can also be strapped to a patient's extremity to quantify specific joint ranges of motion and flexibility.
